Jan Roberts, LCSW
Jan Roberts, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has extensive experience working with a variety of clients. Jan is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College Graudate School of Social Work and Social Research and is currently obtaining her doctorate at NYU. Jan’s background as an executive at two large healthcare organizations as well as her current collaborative care practice in Delaware has added layers of experience to real-world struggles that professionals experience daily in maintaining balance between work and life. Jan's background in Buddhism, philosophy and business have given her a unique skillset that she brings to work with all of her clients.
Jan prefers working with challenging situations and often find herself working with clients on issues that many therapists typically have shied away from. Jan approaches her psychotherapy practice with a belief that we all have within us a resiliency that, when tapped, can lead to great transformation. Her approach is rooted in mindfulness-based practices, Gestalt therapy, family systems theory, and neuropsychology. She works with artists, CEOs, and any client who is struggling to create authenticity in their busy world. Her areas of expertise include: trauma, personality disorders, sexuality issues (including sex therapy), infidelity, and people who have struggled to create meaningful change following past therapy. Finding the “right fit” for a therapist is critically important and finding one who can gently challenge you is equally vital. To learn more about Jan and her practice, go to www.janrobertslcsw.com.
